Training Classes & Camps

Purpose & Approach

Basketball is a complex, high-skill sport.  We believe that dedication to individual skill development is vital to becoming a successful basketball athlete.  To that end, Flow offers year round training classes which provide an excellent risk-free environment for players to experiment with new skills and advance existing ones.  Flow staffs each class to maintain a student-to-trainer ratio of no more than 8:1 so each player receives individual attention and personalized feedback.

All training classes are designed to balance fast-paced intensity and fun.  The curriculum will incorporate age appropriate building blocks on the right fundamentals and the ability to create different moves, including footwork, multiple moves, shooting off the dribble, and craftiness in finishes.  We will spend time on shooting technique and creating plays.

Training Packages & Scheduling

The 1-hour classes are offered by age level.  The times and days vary by season.   Training class packages do not expire. Unused classes at the end of a season roll over to the next season.  It is recommended that every student bring a basketball and water bottle to training class.

Camps & Clinics 

Flow Basketball Academy offers camps during the holidays and summer.  The camp offeeings will be posted when seasonally appropriate.

Clinics can be scheduled and customized in complexity and intensity depending on the level of your team. Each clinic runs ninety (90) minutes at your location and will be scheduled at a mutually agreed time to fit the needs of your team.

Progressive skills & playmaking clinic features 60 minutes of skill work highlighted in the Flow Building Blocks, http://flowbasketballchicago.com/building_blocks and 30 minutes of work on “playmaking” predominately in a 3-on-3 setting in which the athletes are constantly moving, staying active and aware to implement their skills.

If your team/group has specific needs “design your own” clinic with Flow’s help. Select the areas of the game that you wish to emphasize such as shooting, ball handling, playmaking, driving etc. and we’ll design a 90 minute training session to address those needs.
